Government
Most recently I launched the state’s first innovation voting resource, the Texas Venture Voter Guide, a compilation of 60+ Texas State Legislators on ballots all across the state, who supported the statewide innovation economy. I also worked to successfully help a slate of Texas State Representatives into office in this past Election Day 2024 and am excited to have led in new ways the use of artificial intelligence as part of new strategy and execution in political consulting.
Having founded Texas Venture Alliance, the state’s biggest network for the innovation community of small business owners and investors, I was also tasked with advising Texas State Chamber of Commerce CEO Glenn Hamer, in his newly appointed role by Governor Abbott to lead an initiative on improving government efficiency for entrepreneurs.
In 2018, I was tapped to advise and consult for Austin’s Mayor Adler and Fort Worth’s Mayor Price re-election teams, where I created and led successful and multi award-winning campaigns using technology and social media such as use of influencers and memes, prompting the introduction of new judging categories and tactics. The campaigns were awarded a Gold and Silver Pollie (respectively) from the American Association of Political Consultants for “Best Digital or Internet Campaign”, and both were finalists in the Campaigns & Elections’ Reed Awards.
I also worked with community partners and local tech startup founders with their networks to launch and operate ATX Startup Vote receiving nearly 20 CEO commitments to promote Election Day and encourage their companies to participate.
I’ve been recognized by Mayor Adler on two separate occasions for my service and work within the local government: In 2016 I was the youngest appointment to a seven person committee for the City of Austin's Grant for Technology Opportunities Program. There, I advised the Technology and Telecommunications Commission on a city fund for nonprofits addressing the digital divide. In 2017 I was asked to be the first official ambassador to the City of Austin for their exclusive program, CityWorks Academy. There, I met with the heads of each major department (there were nearly 40of them in the local government) and gained insider access to better understand city operations. I also met with the communications team to advise them on social media strategy.
One of the most life-changing experiences I had was upon my acceptance into the World Economic Forum/ “Davos” Global Shaper program, an exclusive group for young leaders. It led me to become a speaker in Davos per UN Foundation request to become a panelist on the topic of young leadership.
